Merry Christmas!

Due to the hecticness of the season, Cheney and I did not get it together enough to send Christmas cards. However, we do send our holiday greetings to those of you that check our blog on a regular basis. We are leaving in the next hour or so to travel to South Carolina. This year has been an experience to say the least with Hurricane Katrina coming into town, but it has been a great one. We hope that all of you are surrounded by those you love this season.

Thought I would add a picture of Sophie and me at our family Christmas party.

Craziness of Life

We have had a whirlwind of activity upon us since Thanksgiving. The weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas are the busiest of the year, in my opinion. So busy in fact, that there won't be any Christmas cards going out this year. There was no time to make them and I couldn't break my tradition of the homemade treat. Today was the day that I baked 2 cakes and had to throw both of them away. The first because I used olive oil in a nonstick pan and it burned, the second because I forgot to put eggs in. Cheney and I have been working at a frantic pace since we returned from South Carolina. We spent turkey day with his family for the first time since we've been married. We had a wonderful time. A friend of mine from high school was even able to join us. We are gearing up to return to SC for Christmas break. Then the countdown will begin until we move, yet again, to another location. The time in Louisiana has been good, but it doesn't fit our lifestyle or our personalities. We are looking forward to living in an area that actually has seasons and great golfing.
